On February 27th 2016, in the fifth VHV center, the free English class for children of Volunteer House Vietnam at Bui Xuong Trach, Ha Noi has been reported by VTV1 channel, and broadcasted in the show “The kindness” of 24 Hours Motivation.
Previously, on February 26th, Vietnam television came directly to the class to shoot and interview the teachers as well as the students in this free English class.
Having an interview with Ms. Bui Thanh Thuy, people from television station have questioned why she joined teaching English for Vietnamese disadvantaged children? Ms. Thuy said: “When looking back on my childhood without any conditions to learn English, until now I increasingly acknowledge the necessity of English, I want to contribute a portion to help children without conditions to learn English.”
The pupils have many positive reviews and feelings on the volunteer teachers: “Volunteer teachers are very funny, understanding and enthusiastic. Learning here, we are not only learning but also playing; it is not as cramped as in school”… Throughout the whole process of spinning, classes continued normally and always full of laughter.
Mr. Thu, the supporter for English teaching classes, also has many positive feedbacks about the members of Volunteer House Vietnam. He also said that despite rain and wind, he always sees the kids eager to come to class.
Up to now, Volunteer House Vietnam has been established for more than one year. This organization is still new. However, Volunteer House Vietnam is increasingly known by domestic and foreign media as well as numerous communities. It is a clear that English classes of VHV are happening frequently; the volunteers of Volunteer House Vietnam are still silently working to help poor children to realize the importance of English, then they can try their best to learn it well. Volunteer House Vietnam is giving away good things, and incubating for poor children have a bright future.
